Position: SEO Manager/Remote
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies (technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO)
- Define KPIs and OKRs for the SEO team, and align efforts with overall marketing goals
- Oversee SEO roadmap, prioritize initiatives based on impact, and manage execution timelines
- Collaborate with content, product, and engineering teams to implement SEO best practices
- Incorporate international and multilingual SEO considerations, including English-language markets
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of SEO professionals (e.g., content, technical SEO, link building, analysts)
- Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and support career development
- Manage hiring and onboarding processes for SEO-related roles as the team scales
Technical & On-Page SEO
- Conduct regular SEO audits to identify issues with crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, etc.
- Optimize site architecture, internal linking, metadata, and URL structure
- Work closely with developers to ensure SEO is baked into site design and updates
Content & Keyword Strategy
- Build and manage a keyword strategy focused on topical authority, user intent, and local search behavior
- Oversee SEO content strategy, including briefs, optimization guidelines, and performance tracking
- Ensure content aligns with E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track SEO KPIs (e.g., rankings, traffic, CTR, bounce rate, conversions)
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, and Looker Studio
- Report progress and insights regularly to senior leadership with actionable recommendations
Requirements & Nice to Have
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (near-native or professional fluency)
- Strong portfolio, including successful SEO projects for international or non-Iranian markets
- Hands-on experience with Local SEO and tools such as BrightLocal
- Experience working with backlink acquisition platforms and executing digital PR campaigns
- Familiarity with structured data, international SEO, and multi-location strategies is a plus
