The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially sharp Business Development Manager to join our remote team. This is a key client-facing role, focused on originating, qualifying, and nurturing deal flow across our core areas of expertise. You’ll be engaging daily with borrowers, introducers, lenders, and partners — managing initial conversations, building pipeline momentum, and ensuring Hectocorn remains front-of-mind across the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead origination efforts by identifying new clients, introducers, and referral partners (family offices, developers, brokers, wealth managers, etc.)
- Conduct daily Zoom calls with prospects and clients to qualify deal viability and outline next steps
- Maintain a clear, real-time understanding of Hectocorn’s active pipeline, with weekly reporting and tracking
- Support the preparation of concise, high-impact deal summaries for internal review and external presentation
- Work alongside the founder to develop and implement tailored outreach strategies across LinkedIn and email
- Maintain CRM records, follow-up tasks, and deal status updates in a consistent, disciplined manner
- Be proactive in market mapping and lender tracking, helping to refine our internal databases and intel
- Contribute to team meetings and strategy sessions, bringing market insight and commercial suggestions to the table
About You
- You’re commercially astute, articulate, and confident in client-facing conversations
- You have experience in financial services, real estate, or high-value B2B advisory — and you’re comfortable discussing numbers, timeframes, and structures
- You’re proactive, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- You understand the value of visibility, responsiveness, and professionalism
- You’re organised, detail-oriented, and consistent with reporting and follow-up
- You’re fluent in English and comfortable working over Zoom, with daily team engagement
