Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to design, deploy, and manage high-performance storage infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal performance for demanding HPC and AI workloads.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS)
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and overall system health
- Plan and execute storage expansions, upgrades, and migrations
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Troubleshoot storage-related issues and optimize performance
- Collaborate closely with network and system administration teams
- Document storage architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
Requirements
Must Have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in storage engineering
- Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, or similar)
- Solid knowledge of RAID levels and storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel, SMB)
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Proficiency in Linux system administration
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with HPC storage systems such as Lustre, GPFS, or BeeGFS
- Knowledge of software-defined storage solutions (Ceph, MinIO)
- Familiarity with object storage and S3-compatible systems
- Experience supporting AI and machine learning workloads
- Automation and scripting skills (Python, Ansible)
- Experience with ZFS or similar advanced file systems
- Relevant industry certifications (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, etc.)
