Job Summary:
The Business Data Analyst & Business Development Specialist is a hybrid role that combines data-driven decision-making with business growth initiatives. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights while also identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for the organization. The specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, partners, and clients to drive revenue growth, enhance customer engagement, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis & Insights:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that support growth initiatives.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Use statistical and predictive models to identify new market opportunities and recommend business development strategies.
2. Business Development & Strategy:
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support expansion and diversification strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and executive teams to align data-driven insights with business growth objectives.
3. Data Management & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools to support business development activities.
- Work with databases and use tools like SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to manage and present data.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for strategic decision-making.
4. Client & Partner Engagement:
- Support business development initiatives by preparing presentations, proposals, and pitches using data-driven insights.
- Work with clients and partners to identify their needs and propose tailored business solutions.
- Act as a liaison between the company and partners, managing key relationships.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on business development goals.
- Act as a key link between technical data teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of analytical findings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
- Business Development Skills: Experience in sales, partnerships, market research, and customer engagement strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to extract actionable insights from data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and support business growth initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM software like Salesforce to track client interactions.
- Experience in managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Understanding of customer segmentation and lead generation strategies.
