We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to become part of our team. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of software testing and have at least 3 years of hands-on experience. The candidate must be comfortable working in Agile environments, have a solid grasp of testing processes, and fully understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the associated testing priorities.
This position is part-time, and we will be working with the candidate two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute detailed test plans and scripts for various software applications.
- Participate in efforts to continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Work closely and efficiently with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Effectively track and manage software defects, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
- Perform thorough regression tests to ensure software stability with each release.
- Offer insights and suggestions for process and product improvements.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for essential workflows to boost testing efficiency.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in software testing.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or a similar position.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with testing front-end, backend, API, and database systems.
- A good understanding of the SDLC and experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience working with bug tracking tools, such as JIRA.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- A strong desire to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks. Experience with tools like Postman or similar is a plus.
