Jabama is seeking a passionate and experienced Frontend Lead to take ownership of our frontend technology stack and elevate the user experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the frontend architecture and technical direction across user-facing and admin platforms.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and Nx monorepos.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Backend teams to define and deliver impactful features.
- Mentor and grow frontend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
- Continuously improve developer experience (DX) by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and workflows.
- Ensure top-tier performance, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals across all surfaces.
- Stay ahead of frontend trends, tools, and best practices; drive adoption of forward-looking technologies.
- Advocate for clean, modular code and help establish long-term technical strategies
What We’re Looking For:
- 6+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in React and Next.js, including rendering strategies (SSR, CSR, SSG, ISR).
- Proficiency in TypeScript, modular architectures, and Nx monorepos.
- Strong understanding of modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, scalable architecture).
- Solid knowledge of performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and Core Web Vitals.
- Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab), and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to lead architectural discussions and code reviews.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for clean, maintainable, scalable code.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with PWA development, service workers, or edge rendering.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns.
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing/blogging.
- Experience working on high-scale, user-centric products.
