DigiExpress is a forward-thinking logistics company scaling its technology platform to support rapid growth and operational excellence. We are looking for a QA Lead to own the quality strategy end-to-end, lead the QA function, and embed quality as a core engineering capability—not a checkpoint at the end of the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the QA strategy and roadmap, aligned with business goals, product maturity, and engineering velocity.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the QA team, including performance management, skill development, and workload prioritization.
- Establish and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices across manual and automated testing.
- Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers to define acceptance criteria, quality metrics, and risk-based testing approaches early in the development lifecycle.
- Oversee test planning and execution, including test strategies, test cases, regression suites, and release readiness assessments.
- Drive test automation adoption and optimization, ensuring scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Analyze product requirements and technical specifications to identify quality risks, edge cases, and non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, security).
- Own defect management and root cause analysis, ensuring issues are tracked, prioritized, resolved, and prevented from recurring.
- Review and present QA reports and quality metrics to engineering leadership and stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure high-quality, on-time releases, acting as the quality gatekeeper while balancing speed and stability.
- Continuously improve cross-team collaboration, acting as the voice of quality across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with demonstrated impact in complex software environments.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring QA engineers (formal lead/managerial experience is a strong advantage).
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD-driven quality practices.
- Solid experience with test planning, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management.
- Hands-on exposure to test automation concepts and tools (even if not coding daily).
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a risk-based quality mindset.
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, and Management.
- Excellent prioritization and project management capabilities in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented, quality-obsessed, and outcome-driven.
