Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for performance and reliability.
- Process big data using frameworks like Spark and Hadoop.
- Deploy and manage cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
- Automate workflows and monitor pipeline performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum academic and professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on expertise in designing and managing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, or Java
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Kafka)
- Having experience to work with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL Databases ( MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Strong technical expertise in using Docker for containerization and deployment, Git for version control and collaboration, and Linux for managing and optimizing server environments, including shell scripting and system troubleshooting
