IT Preventive Maintenance Specialist

Preventive maintenance is a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures. The primary goal of this activity is to prevent the failure of equipment caused by dust and other external particles before it actually occurs.

Responsibilities

• Planning and undertaking scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
•  Develop and enhance Preventive Maintenance Equipment checklists for Enterprise Network, Server, Storage, and UPS System.
•  Perform preventive maintenance by following the PM checklist for functional checks, and health checks at the Client's premise
• Perform basic equipment break-fix during preventive maintenance windows, if required
• Perform vulnerabilities equipment patching activities, if required
• Carry out basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs for IT enterprise products
• Prepare preventive maintenance documentation for submission
• Ability to engage external stakeholders to resolve site issues
• Records and report equipment failure discovered during the preventive maintenance cycle

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance in IT environment
• Experience in enterprise networking, server, and storage equipment would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of structured cabling is preferred
• Good team player, positive & willing to learn attitude
• Able to work independently in a secure environment
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Good communication with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
• Able to work flexible hours, especially during the after-office hours for scheduled maintenance windows, if required.
