Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

 

1. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications on servers and workstations.

2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, such as slow performance or system crashes, to ensure optimal system performance and availability.

3. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels on servers and workstations.

4. Implement and maintain system security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to protect the organization's data and systems.

5. Conduct regular system audits to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.

6. Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of system upgrades or enhancements.

7. Perform routine backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

8. Provide technical support and guidance to end users regarding system-related issues and inquiries.

9. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

10. Stay up-to-date with the latest system administration technologies and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

 

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.

3. Strong knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux.

4. Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

5. Familiarity with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work well in a team environment.

9. Certifications such as MCSE or RHCE are a plus.

10. Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.

11. Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) are a plus.

12. Knowledge of database administration (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is a plus.
